I shot this picture a few days ago at the "Grande galerie de l'évolution du jardin des plantes " in the "Jardins des plantes"- Paris.

This huge and extraordinary zoology museum show 7000 specimens of wild (stuffed) animals in the middle of Paris !

This dog is a stuffed Afghan hound.

Daily Deviation

Given 2006-04-23
I generally select Fetish shots for the DDs, but I just had to highlight D O G by =daaram. I can't explain how in love with this shot I am, how spellbound I am by it. Something about those wise, empty eyes captivates me. The shape of the long slender snout, the sense of nobility while perhaps a little mysterious and spooky. Beautiful tones as well. Ah I see perfectly well ! so it's not a so bizarre avatar...just like my photo of this dog you commented, it's not so strange. It's just a stuffed dog in a museum. He's a part of an educative show for the kids, they're allowed to touch the stuffed animals in this area. That's probably why this dog is looking a bit deformed. But for me he's completely normal and he became a very good visual mate !

You're right, but at first glance, I thought it was an anteater. The long nose and slanted eyes. I think it's tremendously cool, but somewhat surreal. Your presentation lends it an almost spooky feeling.
