I shot this picture a few days ago at the "Grande galerie de l'évolution du jardin des plantes " in the "Jardins des plantes"- Paris.

This huge and extraordinary zoology museum show 7000 specimens of wild (stuffed) animals in the middle of Paris !

This dog is a stuffed Afghan hound.

Given 2006-04-23

I generally select Fetish shots for the DDs, but I just had to highlight D O G by =daaram. I can't explain how in love with this shot I am, how spellbound I am by it. Something about those wise, empty eyes captivates me. The shape of the long slender snout, the sense of nobility while perhaps a little mysterious and spooky. Beautiful tones as well. Yes I think so and I like it because it's a very simple and strange looking animal ! I'm not a zoologist but if its nose is so long it must be for a special reason, he musts hunt rabbits in their burrows I suppose !
